The DVC Studio unit — low in points and just the right size for a family of four or less. But what if you have a family of five and don’t want to use more points to upgrade to a larger room size? Say hello to the five-person Studio unit!
These rooms are furnished with 1 queen-size bed, 1 double-size sleeper sofa + 1 single pull-down bed making it perfect for five travelers to stay comfortably in one room. The only downside is this set-up is not offered at every DVC resort.
There are currently only five (5) Disney Vacation Club resorts that sleep up to five people in a Studio. The sixth property will be Riviera Resort set to open in December of 2019. If you’re looking to purchase an ownership at a resort that has Studios that accommodate up to 5 people, here are your options:
- Beach Club Villas — starts at 15 pts per night
- Boulder Ridge Villas — starts at 15 pts per night
- Boardwalk Villas — starts at 10 pts per night
- Polynesian Villas — starts at 16 pts per night
- Grand Floridian Villas — starts at 17 pts per night
- Riviera — starts at 15 pts per night — opening December 2019
Studio units are typically the first to fill-up at the 11 and 7 month booking windows since they require fewer points per night. If you need a five person studio for your travel plans, I strongly advise making one of these resorts your Home Resort and booking at the 11 month priority booking window.
