Hello! I’m Jaki, also known as “Grandma Jaki” and I am the matriarch of the Tutas Family. I was born a “Navy Brat” in Rhode Island and moved to many different places in the world, including living in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was bombed. I continued my life of moving when I married a Navy man who later became a Lutheran minister. We lived 26 years in South Carolina where we had four sons. After 14 years of part-time schooling, I received my degree in voice performance from the University of South Carolina and then went on to teach voice at the university level.

In 1979, I had a life and career change and moved to Pompano Beach, FL to work in that “new thing” called timeshare. The timeshare industry was just beginning and Disney World was making a huge impact on Orlando. I had the feeling it would have a great impact on the market place…little did I know how big that would be! I moved to Orlando in 1982 and worked as the Senior Sales Manager at Orange Lake Country Club (now part of Holiday Inn Club Vacations) for 15 years.

My proudest and most rewarding moment was when I received two awards (one Gold and one Silver) from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) for National Sales Manager of the Year for “recognition of outstanding achievement and exemplary performance in behalf of the interest of the community of Vacation Ownership” — a very prestigious and highly competitive award for which I am very thankful as there are thousands of members in ARDA.

15 years later I “retired” (ha!) and became part of a company selling resales of timeshares. I established the Disney Vacation Club Resales department and worked there for 11 years. My son, Kinn, joined me in this endeavor in 2000. Over 1,600 DVC closings later, my son and I decided to start our own company so here we are!
