A Review of Animal Kingdom Lodge

Animal Kingdom Lodge User Reviews

ceri66 Wow! Wow! Wow! What more can I say about this hotel, the staff were amazing, from the lifeguards to the housekeeping staff. No problem to big, we had a problem with a wet carpet in our room(just a small area). I went down to inform the reception within six minutes we had been changed rooms. Yes there are works going on. the first room we were in was 2828 and you could see the diggers not to far away. then we were moved to 2527 no sign of any diggers just to watering hole for the zebras. If you are not happy when you get there they will change your room. they are most helpful. the food is good we eat at Boma every morning apart for one, when we eat at the Mara, very much like a canteen, didn't like it!! Boma was great. Would definately stay there again A+++++++++++
yca23uk Stayed here for 4 nights. Found it to be very dark and a maze of corridors. Stunning theming and giraffes outside our room in the morning! Glad to have the experience but would not return.
shysarah This was the first time my DH & I had stayed at a Disney hotel - what a start !! We stayed for 9 nights. This hotel is fantastic. Obviously I don't have anything to compare it to.
The lobby is a sight to behold, the theming is brilliant. We had a Savannah room. Lovely views of the animals from our balcony - so relaxing after the Disney parks.

If you want to stay all holiday with the Disney thing then this hotel isn't for you. You feel as if you've 'escaped' from Disney here but you're only a bus ride away. We used Disney transport all the time - excellent. Longest wait at the hotel was 10 minutes.

We didn't use the restaurants as we don't like to be restsricted by bookings (but then we didn't use any table service restaurants in Disney) so I cannot comment, however, people we spoke to said Boma was great.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, transport good and, most of all, the hotel made the holiday from being great to magnificent - can't wait to come back !!
Gremlin Stayed here for our honeymoon after being married at WL and it was magical!

The rooms were slightly dark but waking up to the animal was amazing and on one evening sat of the baloney watching the animals and a thunderstorm in the distance was an amazing feeling.

Sat around a camp fire being told stories and having guides answering questions about the animals is a nice touch to.
loadsafairydust AKL is a stunning resort with a very deluxe feel. The themeing is gorgeous and there is lots to see and do in the resort. The detail is fantastic with some wonderful African artifacts. The lobby certainly has the wow factor. The pool is one of the best in WDW, very large with 2 hot tubs too.
The rooms did seem quite dark and a little on the small side, (we may have been spoiled by having 2 rooms at another resort before our stay here), but I am happy to lose some floor space to the baclony with the unrivalled view over the savannah. Nothing else can be quite as cool as waking up to giraffes outside your window every morning. The animals are the real stars of this resort!
We ate at the Mara (food court) and Boma and both were excellent. Boma is an experience in itself and not to be missed.
The bus service from this resort is excellent and exclusive, so even athough the resort feels quite remote, the parks are reached quickly.
Would I stay there again, you bet I would, but I would make sure I had more time to savour it!
